Adam! My First Blah!

What up all my literate friends! This is my first blog eva! I hope to do many more! I think whenever I have a thought after wednesday or sunday or anyday, I wanna post it and share it with everyone here because I feel so quiet alot. Maybe it's because everyone else is sooooo loud in this jr. high group. They should call this a blah...like instead of a blog it's a blah spot. Like blah blah blah, ya know. right?
Anyway, I had a good Sunday with the Youth people. I thought my group did the best! I like the Sunday's when everything just flows well. Everybodys brains are working. It's great. I wish every Sunday was like that. But it ain't...
Every student I have spent time with, I have seen potential. When Tommy talks about God seeing something great in everyone, I see that in y'all too. I know that alot of people are almost forced to say that "everyone is special", but I'm not quick to say that about somebody. I like to observe a little bit first before I say "oh, you're so special". All you have to say is "why?" to that person and they are not sure why they said that.
But my whole point is, I see the "special" in many of you. Many times I want to tell you guys that stuff personally but for whatever reason I don't. That needs to change. There is nothing better than hearing another person tell you the good they see you do. Try it! Why not tell a friend or two what their worth is to you.
I remember when I was on a 16 hour trip to Wisconsin with three of my friends. And by the 8th hour, Me, Craig, Jim and Andy decided to be honest with each other. But we had a twist. We decided that we would pick one person at a time, and tell that person one thing we loved about them and one thing we didn't like. When it was my turn, my hands were sweating like crazy. It's a very scary moment when your friends are all focused on who you are as a person and then have the freedom to tell you what they think of you. Luckily for me, they couldn't find anything wrong with me, which y'all can all understand. ok, I'm kidding...they certaintly knew what they didn't like about me. I took it like a man. We all did.
We then stopped at a gas station after our little session and I felt like we were like brothers walking in. But we all had to think about what the other said. And the more I thought about what they said, the more I could see they were right in my bad and good things.
I think you should all find a close friend and ask them what the good and bad they see in you. It's scary but think of it like this. Whether you ask them or not, they still think it. So I dare
you guys to take a chance. Oh, you might want to tell the bad thing first, then tell the good.
Peace!
Adam...

Weekend with Celestine
WOW! I feel like I've been on a mission trip! Spending the weekend with Celestine was amazing! The most amazing things was to hear how God took a "skinny, ugly, African boy" (his words) out of the bush and has used him to do change nations. It would be easy just to sit and be in awe of his stories, but I want you to keep in mind that he is one man that has allowed Jesus to lead him through his entire journey. This is the same Jesus who lives in you! He can do amazing things in your life also, if you let him lead you. Remember the story of the white man from Ohio that went into the bush and shared the gospel with Him for the first time. Is God leading you to be a person who would travel the world as a missionary to share His love? Maybe? Think also of Mary the little old and poor widow who would collect cans and cardboard for $7 to $9 bucks each month to send to Celestine to support him through school. Is there something you could be doing now to reach out to someone who needs you? My prayer is you do something with whatever God has given you!
Dr Celestin Musekura
Hey Crew,
I'm sooooo excited about Sunday we have a special guest. Dr. Celestin Musekura from Africa will be with us. I promise you do not want to miss it. The 8th. grader's have heard me tell stories about him in our talks on the kingdom of God. Come! Bring a friend, you'll love hearing his stories.
See you there!

I spend a lot of my time making friends with new people and talk to them about Jesus and how He is changing my life. Sometimes it's tough because some people think they understand who Jesus is just because they've met people who called themselves "Christians". A lot of people here think that they are a Christian b/c they grew up going to church, but they don't trust in Jesus or even talk to him or read about Him in the Bible. Anyway, I spend a lot of time making friends with these people. I invite them over to my house to watch the Basketball games on TV, or sometimes we play cards, 360, or ping pong. We have a lot of fun, but we also have a lot of challenging conversations about who Jesus REALLY is. That's what I do for a job. Pretty crazy huh? Somedays it's super fun and super easy, other days it can be really tough.
One of the cool things I'm learning here is how to know Jesus more. I'm spending a lot of time reading my bible and talking to other people who really love Jesus too. After doing this for several months straight. I feel a lot closer to Jesus. It's pretty cool. You should try it sometime...
Anyway, I miss you guys! I hope you guys are playing hard enjoyin life. Do your best at life: make the serious effort to know Jesus day to day. You'll be glad ya did!
Hey Y'all!!
Quick Note:
I LOVE YOU!
I know that we don't get to hang out much, BUT as I watch you from afar (or up close) I smile because of the way you love life and have fun with Jesus. I pray for y'all SO much! I do hope in the time that I have here at Sandhurst that we will have fun together and dance with Jesus.

Communion Wednesday

Tonight is communion, so I hope you make it a priority to be there. Our attendance is real low during this time and that concerns me. The Scriptures teach us that we should partake of communion often. We do this to remember Jesus and the sacrifice He made to forgive sins and give us life. Come and celebrate that tonight!
Yo, Yo, Yo, Crew,
I'm super excited about our new page! This is going to be a great way for us to keep up and communicate with each other. I will be posting comments and thoughts on our Bible studies and schedule plans and changes. It will also provide you a forum to discuss and ask questions on happenings in youth group. Please save your new page in your favorites and stop by often. I will updating weekly. If you have any suggestions please let me know.
Love you!
